Our work
Since 2021, the AV Project has worked with stakeholders across a wide range of policy areas in Scotland to understand what support is needed to embed the voices of lived experience of people who have experienced physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse and trauma into systems and services. Our learning from this will inform upcoming implementation support, template materials and case study examples to support local authority areas/organisations.
Embedding Lived Experience in Dundee
The AV Project has been working on a pilot of implementation support, in partnership with Dundee City Council, as part of their aim to ensure lived experience has a meaningful contribution and influence within local multi-agency governance and strategic planning arrangements across their Public Protection Partnerships. We developed a programme of work including research and mapping, improvement planning, and facilitated sessions with leadership. We will produce learning, recommendations and resources focused on effective lived experience inclusion in strategic planning.
