Authentic Voice: Embedding Lived Experience Conference 2024
Join us at thestudio, Glasgow on Monday the 9th of December at 9.30am for our very first conference!
Taking place during 16 Days of Activism, this free to attend event will include inspiring discussions and interactive workshops that celebrate survivor voice and amplify the amazing work of organisations across Scotland. This conference will explore the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of embedding lived experience of domestic abuse and trauma across systems and services, drawing on lessons learned at a local and national level. Speaker & workshop details to follow.
This event has been organised and led by the SafeLives Authentic Voice Panel, a group of 10 women with lived experience of domestic abuse. The Panel represents the breadth of experience and diversity of Scottish survivors, and they bring insight spanning topics such as service access, mental health, rurality, children and the justice system. They work together to embed authentic voice across systems to improve outcomes for all survivors of domestic abuse and trauma.
